J-Cool is owned and operated by Masaru Kubota. Masaru is a licensed barber and cosmetologist. He won the Ibaraki Hair Styling Competition in 1994 and has also been awarded testimonials from other competitions. He worked in the US from 1998 to 2004. He has a diploma from a school of cosmetology in the United States. He is licensed to be a cosmetologist in New York and Japan, and he is also licensed to be a barber in Japan. He has diplomas of training from Vidal Sassoon in London, England.
